New light-weight panels that can be installed from inside your home!

A customer asked us to protect their home with a lightweight but strong storm panel. We installed our new 22-gauge galvanized steel hurricane panel. The building code now requires second floors to be accessed without the use of ladders. Our new 22-gauge steel panel system is designed to be used on 2nd floor windows and doors. They are installed from inside with no need for ladders, using the new slide tracks. The new tracks can be used on the first floor as well. With lightweight 22-gauge storm panels and the new special slide track system, there is no need for wing nuts to secure the panels. The panels and tracks are all you need.

Blending in to the decor of your home

The removable track called the F track can be permanently installed. This track looks like a decorative trim, as the hardware is not needed until a storm warning occurs. The studs slide into the track in order to secure the storm panels to the house. When build-out trim around windows and/or doors occurs 1 to 2 inches from the wall, the F track can handle this situation with the use of larger slide studs.

Another application which is trackless can be installed utilizing a special type of hardware called panel mate. It has a stud attached that allows the placement of the panels to be secured with wing nuts, requiring no tracks or screws.
